Saturdays in May 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day: Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday noon to 5 p.m.

Shopping

Museum StoreOur Museum Store is located inside the Visitors Center and has gifts and souvenirs for all ages and interests. You'll find history-themed toys, games, costumes, collectibles, posters, and historic reproductions. Browse books on a wide variety of subjects including historic cookbooks, military history, American Indian histories, the Civil War and World War II. 

A selection of products is available for sale online

Dining

  • Snacks and cold beverages are sold in the Museum Store.

Accessibility

  • The historic site is accessible to visitors with disabilities or strollers. Some historic buildings are not easily accessible to wheelchairs or strollers.
  • There are gravel paths inside the historic fort. Please call ahead to ask questions about access for individuals with limited mobility.
  • The historic fort is a 5 minute walk from the Visitor Center
  • Please call ahead for sign language interpreters.

Wheelchairs & Strollers

  • Wheelchairs are available at no charge on a first-come, first-served basis from the Visitor Center and inside the historic fort. 
  • Strollers are not available.

Tickets

  • Tickets may be purchased at the Visitor Center or historic fort. The historic fort accepts cash or check only. Credit cards may be used in the Visitor Center.

Lost and Found

  • Lost and found is located at the ticketing counter in the Visitor Center or at the front gate of the historic fort.  To inquire about lost items, please call Historic Fort Snelling at 612-726-1171.

First Aid

  • First aid kits are located at the Visitor Center admissions desk and inside the historic fort at the front gate. 

Service Animals

  • Service animals, such as guide dogs, are permitted to assist visitors. 

Pets

  • Pets are not allowed.
