World War II Weekend

WWII Weekend

Sat, June 20, 2015 - Sun, June 21, 2015

10 am - 5 pm (both days)

A USO show, swing dance instruction, and a recreated Allied military encampment help bring the 1940s to life as visitors explore World War II and Minnesota’s role on battlefields and at home. Visit with costumed staff, view period displays, listen to radio broadcasts about war news, and watch weapon firing demonstrations during this special weekend devoted to Minnesota's Greatest Generation. Thousands of Minnesotans joined the military at Fort Snelling during the war, and the fort was their introduction to military life.

Check back later for schedule of events!
