Time Travel Events: Fort Snelling and WWI

First World War Education Day

Fri, September 20, 2013

10 am - 5 pm

Bring your educational group (classes, School-Age Care groups, home school students) to experience this ALL-NEW program geared towards students!

When the U.S. joined WWI Fort Snelling was mobilized to support thousands of recruits to join the fighting in Europe. The war affected daily life in Minnesota, though the fighting took place thousands of miles away. Join us for this BRAND-NEW event and learn about Minnesota’s role in the Great War. Visit with costumed staff and reenactors, watch military demonstrations and weapons firings, and experience what life was like for Minnesotans during this crucial time.
